About this product

Langdi is the trade name we use for a family of brass and copper cooking pots, listed beside our topes (patilas). HV207 is the brass Ring Langdi in the version we call 'Fancy'.

Like a tope, a langdi is used on the stove for dal, rice, curries and milk, in homes, restaurants and catering kitchens. The plain brass langdi is HV221.

Brass needs kalai (a tin lining) inside before any cooking; sour and salty food react with the bare metal. Your quotation confirms whether the piece comes tinned.
