About this product

Maharani is our design name. This patili is wide and rounded, hammered all over, with a silver-toned rim, a recessed hammered lid and a pointed knob.

Cook dal, curries or rice in it, then take it to the table with the lid on. Restaurants serve from it, caterers set it on buffets, and it makes a wedding or housewarming gift.

Brass needs kalai (a tin lining) inside before any cooking; sour and salty food react with the bare metal. Your quotation confirms whether the piece comes tinned.
