HV230 is plain brass with a satin finish and a flared, rolled rim. As the name says, the base is joined to the wall, and the seam shows inside.

The broad base gives a large cooking surface for dishes cooked in a shallow layer and stirred often, in homes and in commercial kitchens.

Brass needs kalai (a tin lining) inside before any cooking; sour and salty food react with the bare metal. Re-tin when brass shows through.
