About this product

HV272 is a flat, round brass lid, hammered in rows of short marks that radiate from the centre out to a shallow rim.

Lay it over a cooking pot to hold in heat and steam, or to keep dust off food standing in the kitchen. For dum, a flat lid can be sealed to the pot with dough. Sizes are 6-7.5 (HV272) and 8-14 (HV271); match the size to the mouth of your vessel.

Wash and dry it after use, and polish it with tamarind or lemon.
