About this product

A langdi is a wide cooking pot with a flat base and a low wall. HV232 is hammered copper inside and out, with a broad, flared rim, and stands a little deeper than our joint-bottom langdi.

Copper heats evenly across the wide base, for everyday cooking in a home kitchen or a restaurant.

Copper needs kalai (a tin lining) inside before any cooking; sour and salty food react with the bare metal. Wash and dry it at once, and clean the outside with tamarind or lemon.
