About this product

A tope (patila) is a deep, round cooking pot with a wide mouth. HV213 is hammered brass all over, with a flared rim. Sizes run from 10-28 up to 50-52, and each size has its own code, HV213 to HV217.

The run covers a home stove and a caterer's burner alike: milk, dal, rice, khichdi and gravies, from a family meal to a wedding kitchen.

For cooking, brass needs kalai, a tin lining, inside. Never heat a tinned tope empty, because tin melts at about 232 °C.
