A kadhai is a deep, round-bottomed pan, and a tasla is the brass vessel of the same family, used for cooking or kneading dough. HV227 is a handleless bowl of hammered brass, tinned with kalai inside. It comes in sizes 6-7 (HV227) and 8-14 (HV228).
Cook sabzi, gravies and halwa, fry, or knead dough in it, at home, in a halwai's kitchen or in a restaurant.
Never heat a tinned pan empty, because tin melts at about 232 °C. Re-tin when brass shows through.
Also called tasla, kadai, karahi, kalai kadhai.
