About this product

A South Indian coffee filter makes decoction. Ground coffee sits in a perforated upper section, hot water is poured over it, and the decoction drips into the vessel below. This set does the same at counter scale. It is a tall, hammered brass filter in two stacked sections. It has a domed lid with a finial, a tap near the base, and a three-legged stand.

The tap draws decoction straight into a tumbler or jug, ready to mix with hot milk for filter kaapi. It suits darshinis, hotel breakfast counters, canteens, caterers and family functions.

Wash by hand, clear grounds from the fine holes, and dry before reassembling.
