About this product

A badna (badhna) is a spouted water vessel. This brass badna has the round body and flared mouth of a lota, a footed base and a long curved spout. A band of small faceted squares runs round the body; Diamond is our design name.

Restaurants and banquet halls use a badna to pour water over guests' hands before and after a meal, with a basin below. For the basin and ewer set, see the chilamchi badna, HV85. At home it pours water for washing or at pooja.

Wash, dry at once, and polish with tamarind or lemon to keep the shine.
