About this product

A parat is a large, round metal dish with a raised edge. HV238 is the brass parat we list as 'Bidding'. For the hammered brass parat in seven sizes, see HV239.

In the kitchen a parat is where atta is kneaded for rotis, puris and parathas. Caterers, halwais and wedding kitchens also use parats to mix, carry and set out food in quantity.

Wash, dry at once, and polish with tamarind or lemon when it dulls.

Also called paraat, pital parat.
