About this product

A lota is a small, round-bodied metal water pot with a narrow neck, usually brass or copper, in everyday use across India. HV370 is our brass lota sold on its own.

In pooja the lota pours water for abhishek and offerings, and it stands as the kalash with mango leaves and a coconut. At home it holds drinking or washing water. Brass lotas are also a common wedding and festival gift.

Keep anything sour out of bare brass. Wash and dry it after use, and polish with tamarind or lemon when the brass darkens.

Also called loti, tambya, pital ka lota.
