About this product

A kalsi (kalshi) is a small water pitcher, the small form of the kalash. HV484 is in polished brass, with a ribbed neck and flared rim. A band of raised dots and arches runs round the shoulder. Roundels on the body carry the swastika and Om, two signs of good fortune and the sacred.

In pooja it is filled with water, crowned with mango leaves and a coconut, and set up as the kalash at weddings, griha pravesh and festivals.

Kept for water, it needs no kalai (tin lining). Clean the raised pattern with tamarind or lemon and a soft brush.

Also called om kalash, swastik kalash, kalshi.
