About this product

A kodam (kudam) is the South Indian water pot; in Tamil, kudam simply means a water pot. HV41 is the plain kodam in polished brass. It has a broad, flat lip, a narrow neck, and a wide, stepped shoulder that tapers to a low foot.

It carries and stores water at home, and serves as the kalash in pooja. Brass kodams are commonly given at South Indian weddings among the bride's household vessels.

Water needs no kalai (tin lining). Rinse, dry, and polish with tamarind or lemon.

Also called kudam, brass kudam, pital kodam.
