About this product
A deg is a large, heavy metal cooking pot, and a degchi is a smaller one. HV82 is hammered copper with a wide base that tapers to a narrower neck and a flared rim. The inside is tinned with kalai.
The lid can be sealed with dough so the food cooks in its own steam, as in dum biryani. Use it also for haleem and rice, at home, in biryani kitchens and at weddings.
Never heat it empty, because tin melts at about 232 °C. Re-tin when copper shows through.
