About this product

HV353 is a brass thali marked with the swastika. The name comes from Sanskrit and means "conducive to well-being", and the sign stands for good fortune in Hindu and Jain worship.

It serves as an aarti or pooja thali, holding the diya, kumkum, rice and flowers. Families use it at Diwali, griha pravesh and weddings. In Jain practice, rituals often begin by drawing the swastika in rice before the altar.

Keep sour food off bare brass. Wash and dry it after use, and polish with tamarind or lemon when the brass darkens.

Also called swastik pooja thali, aarti thali.
