About this product

HV236 is a patiya: a round-bellied copper pot with a broad, flared rim, shaped much like a handi. The outside is hammered, and the inside is tinned with kalai.

Use it for curries, dal and rice cooked slowly and evenly, in a home or restaurant kitchen. The open mouth makes stirring easy.

Never heat it empty, because tin melts at about 232 °C. Re-tin when copper shows through the lining.
