About this product

HV158 is our big idli pot, size 20; the small one is HV157.

The larger pot suits big families, tiffin rooms and South Indian restaurants that steam idlis through the morning. The plates also take dhokla and other steamed batters.

Brass needs kalai (a tin lining) inside before any cooking; sour and salty food react with the bare metal. Your quotation confirms whether the piece comes tinned.
