About this product

HV363 is a serving bowl in kansa, made by hand. Kansa (bronze) is bell metal, an alloy of copper and tin. It is harder than either metal alone and rings when struck.

Use it to carry dal, sabzi, rice or kheer to the table, then serve into katoris. It matches a kansa thali set at home, at festive meals and at restaurants that serve on kansa. Kansa tableware is a customary wedding gift in Odisha, and it suits gifting elsewhere too.

Wash kansa by hand, dry it at once and polish it with tamarind or pitambari. It is hard but brittle, so a fall on stone can crack it. Keep it out of the dishwasher.
