About this product

A handa is a large metal pot with a wide, open mouth, made for storing water. In Hindi and Marathi the word has long meant a big brass or copper vessel kept filled with water. HV25 is our brass handa.

It stores water in the kitchen or bathroom. Families buy it for weddings and new homes, often with a matching kalsi (water pitcher).

Water needs no kalai (tin lining). Empty and dry it now and then, and polish with tamarind or lemon.

Also called hande, pital handa, handa kalsi.
