About this product

The Lucknowee is a wide, shallow copper pot with a rounded belly and a flared rim, much like a low handi. HV264 is hammered outside and tinned with kalai inside. Sizes are 10, 12-24, 26 and 28-34, codes HV264 to HV267.

Use it for curries and slow-cooked dishes. The larger sizes suit restaurant and catering kitchens, the smaller ones a home stove, and it serves well at a buffet.

Tin melts at about 232 °C, so never heat it empty. Re-tin when copper shows through the lining.

Also called copper handi, copper lagan.
