About this product

HV178 is an engraved (nakshi) brass vessel listed as a fruit bowl or kalash. A kalash is a ritual pot with a wide body and a narrower mouth.

On the dining table it holds fruit. At a pooja, griha pravesh or wedding, a kalash is filled with water, crowned with mango leaves and topped with a coconut.

Empty and dry it after holding water, and polish with tamarind or lemon.
