About this product

HV16 is a small brass bowl sized for dessert. It is a katori, or wati in Marathi: a small, shallow metal bowl, usually brass or copper.

Serve kheer, payasam, halwa, gulab jamun or cut fruit in it. At home it completes a brass thali as the sweet bowl. Restaurants and caterers use it for the sweet course of a thali meal, and it makes a simple festive gift.

Wash by hand and dry at once. Brass dulls with use; tamarind or lemon brings back the shine. Do not keep sour or curd-based sweets standing in bare brass.
