About this product

Kansa is bell metal, a bronze of copper and tin, and the traditional alloy for bells. The extra tin makes it hard and lengthens the ring. HV396 is a pooja bell (ghanti) in kansa.

The person performing pooja or aarti rings the bell during the rite, and devotees ring a temple bell as they enter. At home it sits in the mandir, and it also serves as a decorative piece.

Kansa is hard but brittle; do not drop it. Wipe it dry, and clean with tamarind or lemon when it dulls.
