About this product

HV263 is a heavy copper sipri: deep, hammered outside, with a broad, flared rim and kalai, a tin lining, inside.

Use it for dal, curries, rice and slow-cooked dishes. Its heavier body suits long hours on a restaurant or catering burner, and a home stove too.

Never heat it empty, because tin melts at about 232 °C. Re-tin when copper shows through.

Also called Punjabi handi, copper handi.
