About this product

Patias are among the copper vessels of traditional Parsi kitchens. HV250, the Parsi patiya, is hammered copper with a rounded lower body, a taller, straight upper wall and a flared rim. The inside is tinned with kalai.

Cook dal, curries, stews and rice in it, slowly and evenly, at home or in a restaurant or caterer's kitchen.

Never heat it empty, because tin melts at about 232 °C. Use a wooden spoon, and re-tin when copper shows through.

Also called patia, Parsi copper vessel.
