About this product

A kansa glass is a drinking tumbler of bell metal, a bronze of copper and tin. Kansa is pale gold, harder than copper, and rings when struck. HV327 is listed in the Big size.

In Odisha and Bengal, food has long been eaten from kansa, and a kansa glass of water or milk completes the thali. Kansa is also a customary wedding gift in Odisha.

Hand-wash and dry at once, and polish with tamarind or pitambari. Kansa is hard but brittle, so it can crack if dropped.
