About this product

A wati is the Marathi name for a katori, a small metal bowl. HV433 is cast: molten brass is poured into a mould. A cast wati is thicker and heavier than one made from sheet.

Set it on a thali for dal, sabzi, raita or a sweet. Restaurants serving thali meals and homes building a dinner set use it. HV434 is the lighter sheet version.

Wash by hand and dry at once. Brass dulls with use; tamarind or lemon brings back the shine. Bare brass should not hold curd, kadhi or other sour food for long.

Also called katori, vati, brass wati, pital ki katori.
