About this product

HV351 is a brass thali named after the banana leaf. In South India, meals such as the Kerala sadya are traditionally served on a banana leaf.

Serve rice, sambar, rasam, poriyal and payasam on it, at home or in a restaurant serving South Indian meals. It suits Onam, Pongal and other festive meals, and makes a gift.

Wash by hand and dry at once. Brass dulls with use; tamarind or lemon brings back the shine. Sambar and rasam are sour: wash the thali soon after the meal rather than leaving food on bare brass.

Also called banana leaf plate, brass leaf plate.
