About this product

A brass model of the Lion Capital of Ashoka: four lions standing back to back. The original was carved at Sarnath around 250 BCE and is kept in the Sarnath Museum. India's State Emblem is based on it.

Set it on an office desk, a study shelf or a reception counter. It suits a gift for Independence Day or Republic Day, or for a retirement.

It is a decorative piece only. Dust it with a dry cloth and polish now and then.

Also called Ashoka pillar, Ashok stambh, lion capital.
