About this product

HV516 is our Apple set in kansa. Apple is HV's design name. The photograph shows a thali, a footed glass, three bowls of different sizes and a spoon. Each piece carries a band of dark floral pattern.

Use it for festive meals and guests, or give it at weddings, Diwali and housewarmings. Kansa tableware is a customary wedding gift in Odisha. Kansa (bronze) is bell metal, an alloy of copper and tin. It is harder than either metal alone and rings when struck.

Wash kansa by hand, dry it at once and polish it with tamarind or pitambari. It is hard but brittle, so a fall on stone can crack it. Keep it out of the dishwasher. A soft brush cleans the patterned bands.

Also called kansa dinner set, kansa thali set, bronze dinner set.
