HV201 is the Chamukha in brass. Chaumukh means four-faced or four-mouthed. In the brass trade, a chaumukh is commonly a small holder with cups joined together.
Holders of this kind keep kumkum, haldi, rice and chandan apart on the pooja thali, at festivals and at weddings. It comes in sizes 2 (HV201), 3 (HV202) and 4 (HV203).
Wash by hand and dry at once. Brass dulls with use; tamarind or lemon brings back the shine.
Also called chaumukh, kumkum holder.
